How to Reset Client Passwords
Case Managers have two methods available for resetting client passwords:
Method 1: From Client Profile
- Navigate to the client's profile page
- Locate the "Client Profile" dropdown menu
- Select "Generate Temporary Password"
- Click "Generate Temporary Password" to confirm
System displays:
- Generated temporary password (with copy button)
- Email address associated with the account (with copy button)
Method 2: From Client List
- Navigate to the main client list
- Locate the desired client
- Click the "Actions" dropdown next to their name
- Select "Generate Temporary Password"
Confirm that the user is not able to login before resetting password. This will kick the user out of their account if they're currently logged in.
IMPORTANT: Temporary Password Behavior
- Temporary passwords do not expire automatically
- Password remains valid until the client manually changes it
- Client is logged out immediately when the new password is generated
- Recommend clients change password after receiving a temporary password
